Barbie Movie Font

The movie title uses Barbie's custom brand wordmark, not a retail font.

The 2023 Barbie movie used the familiar Barbie brand script rather than introducing a normal retail typeface for its main title. The safest identification is custom brand lettering rooted in the original Barbie logo. This independent guide is not affiliated with Mattel or the film's producers.

Evidence

How the identification holds up

A brand mark, not a typeable alphabet

Confidence: high that the principal title is a protected custom wordmark; no exact retail font is verified. WIPO's account of the campaign notes that Mattel returned to the original 1959 logo in 2009 and continued using it through the movie era. That makes commercial fonts sold as visual substitutes approximations, not the source of the official mark.

Use the official artwork when authorization requires it

Mattel's media guidance says official artwork should be used as supplied and should not be reinterpreted or modified. That distinction matters: a script with similar loops may evoke the era, but it is neither an exact Barbie font nor permission to recreate the logo. Any project using the mark should follow Mattel's current brand and licensing terms.
